Abbey Andersen is an illustrator currently residing on the Western Slope of Colorado. She holds a BA in Studio Art and Creative Writing from Humboldt State University and specializes in colored pencil, pen, clay, wood burning, and gourmet popsicles.

An art residency at Elsewhere Studios in Paonia, CO brought her to the North Fork Valley where she is now an active member of Paonia Clayworks pottery collective, teaches seasonal art classes, and is a contributing illustrator for High Country News. Abbey is particularly interested in using her artwork to drum up excitement for the overlooked and under-represented whimsicalities of the natural world.
